Dr. Penny Walters has been a University lecturer for 35 years, currently teaching in Bath Spa University Business School, England. Penny's interest in genealogy started after having her first baby and then wondering about her biological parents, as she was adopted. Penny has six mixed race children, who have all enjoyed discovering their roots through DNA ethnicity results. Penny lectures internationally in-person, including throughout America, Australia, Ireland and the UK. Penny is sought after for a wide range of conference and webinar topics. Penny has authored the books: 'Ethical Dilemmas in Genealogy' (2019) and ‘The Psychology of Searching’ (2020), available on Amazon in paperback or on Kindle. www.searchmypast.co.uk

Friends of Dennington School are fundraising for more resources to benefit the children in school. As part of our fundraising we are delighted to be holding an 80/90's themed disco night at Dennington Village Hall. Disco provided by Chase stereo featuring DJ Mervyn Roberts on Saturday 1st June 2024 from 7 - 11.30pm. Over 18's only. Village hall bar will be open to purchase drinks. Come and join us for a night of dancing and fun!

With Radio Caroline’s 60th birthday this year, our June meeting will be an interesting & entertaining film archive, with photos and audio recordings - an affectionate history of the ‘60s ‘Offshore Radio’ and ‘Pop Pirate’ stations, with a Suffolk slant, presented by Charles Wright & Brian Nichols.
