From the Friends of St Edmundsbury Cathedral:

The third of our quirky talks will be held on Wednesday 24 April at Dennington Village Hall.  We are very fortunate that Tim Whiting from Suffolk Millwright, one of the last remaining millwrights in the country, will speak about the restoration and maintenance of wind and water mills which used to be a feature of every village in Suffolk.  In addition to Tim, Jeremy Lain from Treeincarnated, who fell, mill and season timber – local hardwood and then design, work and finish articles which become heirlooms. Jeremy will talk about regional chair making – he made the Lieutenancy prayer desks in 2009 for the Cathedral and has created copies of the Mendlesham style of the Windsor chair.  Afternoon tea will be served following the talks.
