Following the County Council elections in May, Dennington now has a new County Councillor, Steve Molyneux. Before this we were served for many years by Cllr. Stephen Burroughes and we would like to express our thanks to Cllr. Burroughes for his interest in village matters and all the support he had shown to the Parish Council.
Cllr. Molyneux has a varied background in arts and sustainability. He previously ran a community-focused arts charity in London for over a decade, later moving into sustainable architecture publishing. Locally, he continues to support heritage through his involvement with The Tide Mill Museum, and he also serves as a District Councillor at East Suffolk Council.
He was motivated to stand for County Council to contribute to long-term planning and help build resilient communities, particularly in response to environmental challenges. His priorities include listening to local concerns around traffic, infrastructure, water quality and flooding. He is keen to work collaboratively with residents and partners to help manage growth and support sustainable development.
