AFFORDABLE HOUSING IN FRAMLINGHAM: A major breakthrough for Framlingham families
Do you want to live in the new houses being built on Saxtead Road and potentially Fairfield Road? This is a great new opportunity for local people with a personal, or work, connection to Framlingham to rent 'affordable' housing from a Social Landlord. You are urged to register with 'Gateway to Homechoice' (www.gatewaytohomechoice.org.uk) so that you can submit an application.
Framlingham Town Council has won a concession from East Suffolk Council that local people should get the first opportunity for these homes.  We urge all those who want to rent a home from a social landlord, to register on the scheme as this is the only measure East Suffolk Council use for measuring housing need.   The route through the Gateway can be complicated or seem daunting but the Town Council will be happy to help and advise.   The town is not expecting many more, if any, social or affordable housing, so it is important you take this opportunity before it disappears.
