Funding boost for key organisations in East Suffolk

East Suffolk Council has launched a new £100,000 ‘Bounce Back’ Fund, which offers grants of between £250 and £5,000 to support voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations in East Suffolk.

The Parish Council meeting due to be held on Monday 9th November has been cancelled due to the current restrictions. Alternative arrangements will be announced. The agenda for the meeting will appear on this site as soon as it is released.

Framlingham Library News Update

6 November 2020

"In a change to what has been previously advertised, Framlingham Library are pleased to be able to remain open on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays 9.30am- 1pm. We are not able to offer browsing but you can visit us to collect books. PC use is limited to Universal Credit and benefit usage. We are unable to offer photocopying and printing at this time.

Remembrance Sunday

4 November 2020

Reverend Martin Percival has written: "You will have seen that from tomorrow and for four weeks initially, as part of the proposed lockdown requirements, Churches will be open for private prayer but not for public worship. This has obviously come as a great disappointment, particularly as we returned to the celebration of the Eucharist last Sunday.

Recycling Centres to remain open during restrictions

3 November 2020

Recycling Centres to remain open from Thurs 5 November. Suffolk recycling centres will remain open (by appointment only) and all current bookings will be unaffected as we enter into the new lockdown restrictions on Thursday. Appointments can be made via our online booking system as during the past few months.

Distraction Burglaries

27 October 2020

Police are reminding customer facing staff to keep their phones secure at all times after receiving 7 reports of ‘distraction thefts’ since start of October. The offenders will enter a premises with a customer reception area (such as a hairdressers or hotel) and distract staff by asking for help or directions and waving papers around. They will then take the phone from the reception desk/counter whilst the member of staff is distracted. To reduce the risk of having your phone stolen, please follow these simple tips:

Suffolk Foundation Grant applications

The County Grants programme provides grants for smaller organisations working with disadvantaged people and communities in Suffolk. The grants cover running costs, salaries, projects and small capital projects or expenditure.

Poppy Collections

You will be aware that there will be no poppy door-to-door collections this year, however, you can get a poppy for you, your family and friends at the Neathouse. Vashti's opening hours are 10am to 3pm Monday to Saturday.
