Location: Dennington Jubilee Village Hall
Everyone is welcome to come along.
16th March - The guest speaker will be Toby Evers. Toby is the Wine Guru at Naked Wines responsible for the quality of all wines sold by the company. After an illustrated talk about the systems and methods used by their independent winemakers world-wide, he will finish with a tutored wine tasting as - he says - learning through the palate is by far the best way. So do put this in your diary now!
As always, we welcome guests as well as members (the guest entrance fee is £5), and it would be very helpful if you could let me know if you hope to come to this so that we can make sure we have sufficient wine to taste, and glasses to taste it from.
And a quick look ahead at our May meeting, which will be on Wednesday, 18th May. Robert and Teresa Rous have kindly invited us to Dennington Hall to hear about 'A Year in the Life of Dennington Hall Farms'. The Farms stretch to more than 3,000 acres, including family farms and Bruisyard Hall, and we shall learn about their conservation projects and crop rotations, woodland, wildlife, and their small herd of cattle. We hope also to be able to see around the farm on a people-wagon, and finish as usual with a glass of wine as well as canapes provided by the chef at Bruisyard. So do put this in your diary now.
